The Australian Indian Sports, Educational and Cultural Society (AISECS) organized a friendly 30-over cricket match between NSW ministers and Indian diplomats from Sydney and Canberra. The Diplomats' team, captained by High Commissioner Gopal Baglay, included Consul General Dr S Janakiraman and other diplomats. NSW Minister for Multiculturalism Steve Kamper led the Ministers XI, with players such as Councillor Sameer Pandey, Shadow Treasurer Damien Tudehope and AISECS founder Gurnam Singh.
