Episode 1

Airs 7.30pm Thursday 29 September 2022 on SBS and SBS Food

Armed with whatever cooking equipment they own, high school sweethearts Fiona and Jeremy will be dishing up the queen of comfort food Nigella Lawson’s speckled brown butter colcannon; The Living Room’s Miguel Maestre’s caramelle with pesto alla Genovese; Poh Ling Yeow’s braided beef curry puffs; and internet renegade Matty Matheson’s sticky toffee pudding.

Best friends Anna and Matthew put four family favourite recipes to the test: a very British bolognese with Jamie Oliver; Silvia Colloca’s labour of love, bigne alla crema; Australia’s first Indigenous hatted chef, Clayton Donovan’s kangaroo san choy bau; and Shane Delia’s cheesy middle Eastern dessert, knafeh.

Hipster parents Waz and Jen will be dishing up ‘The Chocolate Queen’ Kirsten Tibballs’ babka knot; Rachel Khoo’s quirky chocolate cherry coupe; and decadent molten choc-chunk brownies with Australia’s favourite food stylist, Donna Hay.

Egyptian mum and daughter, Magda and Sara, will be dishing up Adam Liaw’s oversized seafood vol au vent; Mary Berry’s leek and stilton quiche; cooking show antithesis, Nat’s What I Reckon’s honey mustard chicken; and cooking’s sweetheart Justine Schofield’s fortune cookies.

Fiona and Jeremy will put three homegrown recipes to the test. They will be dishing up Masterchef alumni Hayden Quinn’s Vietnamese surf n turf wagyu & prawn bun thit nuong; chef Analiese Gregory’s cider-braised rabbit; and Australia’s foodie matriarch Maggie Beer’s chocolate, pear and almond tart.

Episode 6

In this episode, friends since school Jonathan and Hari will be testing Marco Pierre White’s buttery chip shop chips; the infectiously happy, Nadiya Hussain’s chicken doughnuts; and the baron of River Cottage Australia, Paul West’s honeycomb.

Fiona and Jeremy will be dishing up UK-born presenter Rick Stein’s stargazey pie; South African trekker, Warren Mendes’ mussel curry; Vietnamese chef Luke Nguyen’s Vietnamese chicken rice; and French chef Guillaume Brahimi’s blueberry cake.
