Uploaded by her great-grandson on the YouTube channel Country Foods, Mastanamma’s videos show her cooking traditional recipes using basic utensils with outstanding results.

Showing her making everything from mango chicken curry and prawns biryani through to her take on western favourites including KFC chicken and French fries, Mastanamma’s channel has accumulated a following of more than 340,000 subscribers who can’t hold back their excitement with each new recipe.

“[Been] waiting for this beautiful lady all day” says one viewer on the centenarian’s Chilli Chicken video.

Cooking outside using metal pans over an open fire, one of main tools she uses is a curved blade mounted on the floor known as a “Bonti”, with the talented woman, who is said to be 106, slicing and skinning vegetables and meats with ease.

In one of the videos posted, Mastanamma details a compelling background, talking about how she married at 11 years old, never went to school and has outlived not only her husband but four of her five children.

"I never been school," she says.

"I'm not studied but bring money [and] I can count well," she jokes.
While said to be initially confused by the video-sharing website, she is said to be delighted that her passion food is being enjoyed by so many people around the world.
