If you’ve ever wondered how you can combine your love of food and reading – other than by immersing yourself in a mountain of cook books, of course – a kooky company in Japan has your answer.

Online retailer Tokyo Kitsch are selling some jaw-droppingly realistic food shaped bookmarks that can save your place and whet your appetite.

They come in classic bacon and egg, salmon, seaweed paper, watermelon and the less rectangular but still tasty looking, pancake with butter.

Unfortunately for those eager to get their hands on one however, the range has temporarily sold out.
