If you’re a certified ramen aficionado, these new T-shirts from Japanese casual streetwear brand Uniqlo will surely be this season’s must haves.

Building on a huge (and always growing) collection of wardrobe staples, the international clothing chain has just released a line of tees featuring graphics and insignia from Japan’s most-adored ramen shops, including Menya Musashi, Ramen Setagaya and Afuri. The tees pay homage to one of the great building blocks of Japanese cuisine and its worldwide influence, and they're making us think about having ramen for lunch.

And, really, who wouldn’t want to rock apparel inspired by the world’s greatest noodle soups?

The collection includes seven T-shirts – all featuring logos from famous ramen shops. Menya Musashi, Setagaya and Afuri originated in Tokyo, with other locations in Asia and the US; Ebisoba Ichigen is from Sapporo, and Hokkaido Ramen Santouka can be found throughout Japan.

If you’re looking to rep a local ramen house, look out for the Ippudo shirt. Ippudo is an international ramen chain, with locations all over the world – including four Sydney branches and a new Melbourne outpost.

The tees make up Uniqlo’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection, which is great news for our northern hemisphere friends. Down under, Uniqlo can't confirm if the range will be released here but if it is, it we'll have to wait till the end of the year to get our hands on one.

Until then, make a hearty tonkotsu ramen at home, brush up on your ramen knowledge, or discover Australia’s best ramen bowls

Check out Uniqlo’s US website, and keep up with the brand’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
