Rooibos tea

Native to South Africa, this tea meaning “red bush” brews up a delicately tangy, revitalising cuppa that’s naturally caffeine free.

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop rooibos tea or tea bag

Instructions

1. Add a scoop of loose leaf rooibos tea to a tea diffuser, or add a tea bag of rooibos to a mug or cup.

2. Heat water in a kettle until boiling. Pour water over tea leaves or bag and allow to steep for 5-10 minutes.

3. Remove tea leaves or bag.

4. Drink on its own, with honey and lemon, or with milk and sugar.

Cook's Notes

Oven temperatures are for conventional; if using fan-forced (convection), reduce the temperature by 20˚C. | We use Australian tablespoons and cups: 1 teaspoon equals 5 ml; 1 tablespoon equals 20 ml; 1 cup equals 250 ml. | All herbs are fresh (unless specified) and cups are lightly packed. | All vegetables are medium size and peeled, unless specified. | All eggs are 55-60 g, unless specified.
