Mammoth effort behind staging the Gilgamesh opera

Nora Betyousef Lacey, founder of the Assyrian Arts Institute in the USA, recently visited Australia to discuss the challenges and dedication required to stage the Gilgamesh opera including the time-consuming selection process, the effort invested in building the sets, and the importance of engaging as many Assyrian professional talents as possible in the production. The world premiere will take place in Los Angeles county at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts on 28 March, 2026.
