The RCEP can involve countries in the Asian-Pacific region including China and build trade predictability while separating trade from geopolitical and other dynamics, Professor Heng Wang told SBS Mandarin.

Professor Heng Wang, co-director of UNSW Law's China International Business and Economic Law (CIBEL) Centre, says the way forward for trade between Australia and China is through the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) alongside the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

The RCEP can involve countries in the Asian-Pacific region including China and help them engage in strategic ways to build trade predictability and separate trade from geopolitical and other dynamics.
