成千上万的野生动物受澳洲大面积山火影响数量锐减、流离失所。消防员和护理员正在努力对它们进行救助。

一段消防员给考拉喂水的视频走红网络。画面上的考拉一边喝着消防员送去的水,一边手里还死死抱着另外一瓶。眼见着喝完了,它还着急地抬手去抓,一副不够还要的可怜模样。(点击封面图片观看)

圣诞节期间,澳大利亚各地的野生动物护理人员继续全天候工作,努力照顾受到干旱和火灾影响的小动物们。今年九月份以来,毁灭性的丛林大火已经烧毁了五个州400万公顷的土地,也极大地破坏了野生动物栖息地。预计本周末的高温又将进一步推升火情。

Port Macquarie考拉医院的临床主任Cheyne Flanagan告诉路透社,看护人员将在圣诞节当天照顾72头考拉,大火吞噬了它们3/4的栖息地。

考拉医院的Go Fund Me页面在今年十月设立完成,目的是筹集资金为考拉设立饮水站。最初的筹款目标是25,000澳元,但是目前已经筹措到了210万澳元。富余的善款除了被用于增设饮水站购买载水车辆之外,还将设立一个野生考拉繁殖项目,以帮助其族群的恢复。
