Sarah Achol Guang Duot is a woman who has endured a multitude of hardships in her life. Numerous of her children have sadly passed away, and her only remaining son was abducted by individuals suspected to be Murle bandits

Achol herself was subsequently kidnapped by the Murle, where she was disrobed and left to find her own way back to her village. Following the loss of all her children, her husband decided to leave her due to her childlessness. Achol, who is both a comedian and singer, is now a single mother residing in the marshy outskirts of her village. To conduct an interview with us, Achol had to journey from this marshy zone back to Paliau. Here is the interview.
