On Tuesday, Australia reported at least 52 COVID-19 deaths, including 20 in Victoria, 19 in New South Wales (NSW) and 11 in Queensland (QLD). In addition, Western Australia reported four historical deaths.
Compared to the previous day, there was a rise in the number of new reported daily COVID-19 infections and hospitalisations across Australia.
The Australian Capital Territory reported 93 people with COVID-19 in hospitals, its highest since 4 April.
