The normalisation of Greek-Turkish relations and same-sex marriage were among the issues raised by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in an interview with ERT.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis answered a number of questions during an interview with ERT.

Commenting on national issues and Greek-Turkish relations following the recent visit of Tayyip Erdogan to Athens, Mitsotakis noted that we have achieved a significant normalisation in our relations with Turkey, which is also reflected in the field, with a significant reduction, if not zeroing, of Turkish provocative behavior.

There was also a discussion on the marriage of same-sex couples, an issue of particular concern to a section of Greek society.

Mr Mitsotakis said that the bill in question complements the framework that already exists with the civil partnership agreement, noting that for male same-sex couples, the possibility of having a child through a surrogate mother will not be provided for, but rather the possibility of adoption.
