According to a survey from Griffith University, most Australians do not believe that climate change is an urgent issue.


The findings reveal a gap between how Australians see the risks posed by climate change and the urgent need for meaningful action expressed by the global scientific community.

Scientists say the planet will surpass a significant warming threshold within the next ten years unless there is a drastic and immediate phase-out of fossil fuels.

Almost three thousand people across Australia took part in the survey.
