With her family hailing from the Greek town of Serres, Melbourne based Billie Christofis combines her career as a sucessful entrepreneur and real estate investor with raising her four children.

She got her interest in real estate from her grandfather and uncle who were in the business.

''My uncle and grandfather always had a lot of properties and they made a lot of money from that. I bought my first apartment when I was 22'' she told SBS Greek.

She is not afraid of taking up loans to fund her investments ''If the rate between the rent and the debt is good, then it will be payid by itself'' she said.

Mrs Christofi bought her first property appartment in South Yarra. 14 years later she owns 16 properties. Along with her husband, she now runs a company aimed at those who want to make their first steps in the property market and grow their property portfolio.
