Right from being close to the Arabian sea, to being enterprising, the Gujarati businessmen have really made a mark for themselves over the course of time. But how did it all start? Why do historical accounts of Greek, Roman and Arab travellers mention and praise Gujarati merchants? SBS Gujarati tries to get to the bottom of these questions in an interview with historian, researcher and maritime and history professor, Chhaya Goswami.
