The Australian government offers concessions for certain visa holders whose travel plan has been impacted by the COVID-19 border closures. Under the interim arrangements, applicants of some of the visa categories who were previously required to go outside Australia to get a stamp for the new visa will now have their visa granted while they are in Australia.
