Orel Cohen-Berenson and her partner Eddie arrived in Australia a few months ago in order to study and work. They both served several years in the Israeli navy, both are extremely busy studying and working and travelling and getting used to the new culture, language and friends.

Orel still wanted to volunteer for a worthwhile cause. They couldn’t have found a better cause than to regularly meet “Saba” Victor, a lovely, gentle, and humble 97 year old Holocaust survivor who lives on his own in his South Caulfield apartment in Melbourne. Orel plays games with Saba Victor and helps him with various tech challenges that weren’t even dreamed of when he was born almost a century ago.

Orel also tells us about the various challenges associated with coming from Israel to Australia. What she finds strange, funny and at times difficult over here in Melbourne.
