Udi Raveh is the son of Ilka and Aviva Raveh, famous Israeli singers who were the pioneers of some of the first Israeli folk songs, even before the establishment of the state of Israel.

Ilka and Aviva Raveh were a famous musical duo during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. They served in the Jewish Brigade of the British army during WW2, and went on to perform in budding Israel and in many places overseas. They were larger than life in both music, in overcoming injuries and tragedies, in staying forever optimistic. Their son Udi tells us about what it was like to grow up in such a colourful, musical family.
