צבא ישראל אישר את מותם של ארבעה בני ערובה נוספים שהוחזקו על ידי חמאס בעזה, הנתון מתווסף למספר ההולך וגדל של בני ערובה שישראל טוענת כי מתו בשבי. ההתפתחות הוסיפה ללחץ העומד בפני ראש ממשלת ישראל בנימין נתניהו לקבל הסכם הפסקת אש ושחרור בני ערובה.
