Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan is selling his home in Melbourne’s South-East and this has sparked off discussions among his fans if the cricketer is moving base to India.

The family’s 4-bedroom grand suburban property in Clyde North is listed for sale in the range of $850,000 to $935,000.

The property has garnered a lot of interest, says the real estate agent.

“We put up the listing on Tuesday and there’s been a lot of interest in it, especially from the Indian community,” Darren Hutchins, founder and co-director of O'Brien Real Estate told SBS Hindi.

The Indian opener bought the house in 2013 where he lived with his wife, Aesha Dhawan and three kids.

The four-bedroom property comes with three bathrooms, a heated swimming pool, a kitchen and butler’s pantry.

The house also has three separate living zones that include family, rumpus retreat and theatre rooms.
The property will go under the hammer on August 18 says the real estate agent.

“Within two days, we have over 30 inquiries,” Mr Hutchins said.

Is Shikhar Dhawan leaving Melbourne?

The cricketer who divides his time between Australia and India will continue to keep his base in Melbourne, claims the real estate agent.

“He will continue to keep his base in Melbourne. He spends around 100 days in Melbourne. The rest of the days he is away. His family accompanies him whenever possible. But what we know now is, his wife Aesha and kids want to be with him in India. They will continue to keep their base here, though,” Mr Hutchins said.

SBS Hindi has learnt the Indian cricketer is currently away in India and will be leaving soon on West Indies tour.

We have reached out to Mr Dhawan and are awaiting his response.
