The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2017 kicked off in Melbourne on 10th August with Lipstick Under by Burkha screened on opening night. Film's lead actress Konkana Sen Sharma and director Alankrita were present at the screening.

On Friday morning, a star-studded press conference was organised in Melbourne which was attended by Konkana Sen Sharma, Rahul Bose, Shootjit Sircar, Tanishtha Chatterjee, Rajkumar Rao, Nitesh Tiwari, Shobu Yarlagadda, Rajeev Masand and Kakkar sisters.
SBS Hindi will bring you Awards Night live from Melbourne Recital Centre on Friday night where Bollywood icon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and film producer Karan Johar will be special guests. (Stay tuned to our Facebook Page for all live videos)

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will also hoist the Indian flag at Melbourne's Federation Square on Saturday at 11am. SBS Hindi will bring you live coverage from the flag hoisting ceremony.
The festival has organised several masterclasses with film producers and directors where Rajeev Masand with conduct a Q&A with Nitesh Tiwari, Shobu Yarlagadda, Karan Johar, Shoojit Sircar and Vikran Phadnis.
