Dr Raina said that community theatre fosters connections and can significantly contribute to instigating change.
Community theatre provides local people with a platform in which you can express yourself without any fear – something we need. It opens doors for migrants to talk about their problems, the ups and downs of life, and social issues.
Dr Raina
While community theatre is communicated to the audience by people who speak the same language, it is equally important to speak a language that resonates with the wider community.
We must make use of subtitling for community theatre performances to reach out to a larger and cross-over audience.

Having received training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in the UK, Dr Raina earned his PhD in Theatre and Performance in Australia.

He excels as a drama instructor, actor, director, Kathakali dancer, playwright, and voice coach. Prior to relocating to Australia, he contributed significantly to theatre and cinema in Europe, America, and India.
