Impact of new regulations for tourists in Bali

Bali has been setting new rules since June, regarding how foreign tourists should behave. After a month, what is the impact of its application?


Restrictions, originally intended for foreign tourists to respect Balinese customs and beliefs, such as sacred mountains or trees, on a number of sides hinder tourist activity.

According to tourism observer Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Raka Suardana, there is a side to the rule that turns out to be quite negative on the development of tourism that has died due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Raka Suardana also offered a solution to the problem. Where foreign tourists are expected to remain happy and served, and Balinese customs and culture are respected.
