Developing what was once a hobby into an established business requires tenacity, patience and great commitment. Marketing batik is not easy because the market is limited to the Indonesian community. Although now the situation has begun to change.


Iin West, a Batik Center MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises) entrepreneur in Melbourne, shares her experiences in developing her business. She explained to SBS Indonesian that because she operates her business based on her love to batik and the community, her business flourishes.
