Ilaga residents in West Papua have been forced to flee due to the escalation of armed violence

TNI / Polri forces are pursuing the West Papua National Liberation Army group, which the Indonesian government has designated as terrorists.


Oktovianus Tabuni, a resident of Ilaga, Puncak Regency, Papua, told how residents there had to flee in the last two weeks, due to the escalation of armed violence.

The chase led to armed conflict, which frightened the residents, so they were forced to flee.
