Government launches new initiative to support children with autism

Children with early signs of autism will be the focus of two new federally funded intervention programs announced by the Labor government.


More than 22 million dollars will be spent on the pilot programs, which will focus on family-centred interventions.

Social Services Minister Amanda Rishworth says up to 1500 children between nine and 14 months of age will take part.
