There is a very good opportunity to expose your capability with huge cash prizes if you are aspiring to academic, political or journalistic career in the near future with expertise in Korea.

The Asia Pacific Assembly of the National Unification Advisory Council, a South Korea’s statutory body, hosts its inaugural international essay competition for undergraduate and postgraduate students of all nationalities in Asia Pacific region including Australia, with cash prizes totaling US$10,000.00 for 10 winners.

The competition is open till 16 October 2020 and may be possible to obtain an extension provided you have legitimate excuses.

According to the Asia Pacific Assembly of the NUAC, the international competition is organised to invite aspiring Korean experts to share their views on Peace on the Korean peninsula and public diplomacy.

The essay topics are limited to peace on the Korean peninsula and the public diplomacy related issues such as:

    • Either Peace and security in Northeast Asia and Unification of South and North Korea,

    • Impact of public diplomacy on the peace process for the Korean peninsula,

    • Roles of the international community for peace on the Korean peninsula,

    • International perspectives on Panmumjom declaration for peace, prosperity, and Unification of the Korean peninsula or

    • Major barriers to South and North rapprochement

The length of an entry must have around 5,000 words with footnotes and bibliography referencing.
