“Capturing the spirits of white porcelain scattered around the world… ”

Light Shadow: Koo Bohnchang exhibition, currently being held at the Korean Cultural Center Australia, started when the artist Koo wished to collect spirits of white porcelain of the Joseon Dynasty that has been leaked overseas through the Japanese colonial period.


Light Shadow: Koo Bohnchang exhibition featured 39 artworks of leading Korean modern photographer Koo Bohnchang. 

The artist captured the spirits of Korean white porcelains scattered all over the world in different museums. 

Koo Bohnchang said although white porcelains can’t come back to Korea at the moment, I wanted to send their spirits to their homeland by capturing them with my camera.
