City of Ryde's first Deputy Mayor of Korean-Australian, Clr Dr Peter Kim

Ryde Council's new Deputy Mayor, Peter Kim, said, "I will work hard for the rights and interests of the residents with the spirit of the good Samaritan," and appealed to Korean-Australians to “pay more attention to Australian politics.”

Clr Dr Peter Kim was elected as Deputy Mayor of the City of Ryde.

It is the first time for Korean-Australians to take the leadership role in the multicultural council where one of the largest Sydney’s Korean towns, Eastwood, located. 

The SBS Korean program talks with Deputy Mayor Peter Kim about the city's plans to build a new public parking building in Eastwood and his plans and goals as a Deputy Mayor.
