The NRL has announced the grand final will be held in Sydney on October the 25th before an expected crowd of around 40,000 fans.
The New South Wales government says spectators will need to bring masks and remain in their designated seat.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian says the stadium will be at fifty per cent capacity and the game will be a good test of how a major event can be conducted safely in the era of COVID-19.
Premiers says, "A ticketed seated event which has very strict protocols is often safer than having a bunch of friends over to your house- you might be mingling and not social distancing - so what we need to do is to encourage people that when you do go to a major event please wear a mask when you go to your seat and you will be limited to your zone and see that there are COVID-safe plans in place."
