Private health insurance premiums will rise by an average of 2.92 per cent in 1 April 2020.


The Health Minister, Greg Hunt, has confirmed last year that the private health insurance will increase by 2.92% on average.  Premium changes come into effect on April 1.

The premium increase in 2019 was 3.25 per cent, significantly lower than the recent trend.

The cost of private health insurance in 2020 is set to have the lowest growth in eighteen years, but the average premium increase will still be burden for many Australian.
