New commissioner appointed to advise on virus

All elective surgery other than the most urgent procedures will be put on hold to free up capacity in hospitals dealing with coronavirus. The news comes as a new commissioner is appointed to advise Australian governments on what should be done to tackle the social and economic effects of coronavirus.
