Vatican releases new rules on supernatural claims in crackdown on scams and hoaxes

The Vatican has issued new guidelines on the recognition of supernatural events, stating they may be fraudulent and exploited for financial gain or the creation of personal cults. This comes while many in Bosnia and around the world await a Vatican decision on whether reported visions of Mary, Jesus’s mother, that started in 1981 are authentic.
