Football match-fixing is not an "act against the state"

Nepali footballers after they were ordered to be released on June 7, 2018 by a special court after their involvement in an alleged match fixing scandal couldn't be proved in court.

The Supreme Court has cleared former captain of the Nepali football team Sagar Thapa, players Sandeep Rai, Ritesh Thapa, Vikas Singh Chhetri, coach Anjan KC and physiotherapist Davis Thapa all of Nepal of match-fixing.
