SBS Nepali taking part in the 2021 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade

For the first time, SBS Nepali will be represented in the 2021 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, with our very own Dinita Rishal joining the SBS team for the parade.

On Saturday, 6th March 2021, Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras will take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Due to COVID-19 the internationally renowned event was moved from its usual location of Oxford Street.

The 2021 Mardi Gras theme is ‘RISE’, aiming to encapsulate the challenge and hardship that 2020 presented, while calling on members of the LGBTIQ+ community to rise again through love, compassion, respect and understanding.
