'Year of the Dragon': Australia's Sherpa community celebrates Gyalpo Lhosar

Gyalpo Lhosar is celebrated by the Sherpa community to welcome a new year according to the Lunar calendar. On Sunday, 18 February 2024 Sherpa Association of Victoria organised a cultural program at Estonian House, Brunswick in Melbourne. Bidding farewell to the rabbit year and entering into the dragon year, participants spoke to SBS Nepali about the significance of the annual celebration.
