2019-20 ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਸਾਲ ਲਈ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਭਰ ਜਾਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਿਕਟੋਰੀਆ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੁਨਰਮੰਦ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਕਿਲਡ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ (ਸਥਾਈ) ਵੀਜ਼ਾ (ਸਬਕਲਾਸ 190) ਅਤੇ ਸਕਿੱਲਡ ਵਰਕ ਰੀਜਨਲ (ਪ੍ਰੋਵੀਜ਼ਨਲ) ਵੀਜ਼ਾ (ਸਬਕਲਾਸ 491) ਲਈ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
28 ਮਈ 2020 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦਾਇਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਵਿਧੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਰਾਜ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵੈਬਸਾਈਟ 'ਤੇ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਲ 2020-21 ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਉੱਧਰ ਐਨਐਸਡਬਲਯੂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਅਪਡੇਟ ਵਿਚ, ਰਾਜ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵੈਬਸਾਈਟ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਸਕਿੱਲਡ ਵਰਕ ਰੀਜਨਲ (ਪ੍ਰੋਵੀਜ਼ਨਲ) ਵੀਜ਼ਾ (ਸਬਕਲਾਸ 491) ਲਈ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
ਇਮੀਗ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਬੁਲ ਰਿਜਵੀ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਕਿੱਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦੇਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਆਰਥਿਕਤਾ ਦੀ ਮੁੜ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਢੁਕਵੇਂ ਹਲਾਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ।
