PM tells Westpac customers to switch banks after rate hike

NEWS: Prime Minister Scott Morrison has told Westpac customers unhappy with its decision to hike interest rates to go to another bank.

Australians unhappy with Westpac's decision to raise mortgage rates should consider switching banks, the new prime minister says.

Scott Morrison says Westpac must explain to customers why it lifted variable home loan rates by 14 basis points.
