AFL losing run not concerning Suns' Miller

Gold Coast vice-captain Touk Miller insists the Suns aren't playing that badly despite a seven-game AFL losing run.

Gold Coast midfielder Touk Miller says he's confident the Suns are a better team than recent AFL results would suggest.

The Suns have slumped to second-last on the AFL ladder after a seven-game losing run, culminating in last week's 83-point belting from GWS.

Miller will make his return from a heel injury sidelining him since round eight in Saturday's home clash with North Melbourne.

The midfielder's return, along with defender Jarrod Harbrow shaking off a groin problem which kept him out of the Giants loss, are big inclusions for the Suns.

Miller said that, despite the losing run, the Suns were still playing decent footy.

"You don't like losing but the way we are losing is a lot better than in the past," Miller said.

"We're putting up numbers in terms of the contest and the way we're playing is a lot better.

"We've got to take more belief out of that than the scoreboard at the moment."

Harbrow and Miller's return has been offset by Jack Bowes suffering a quad injury against the Giants which may keep him out for two months.

The Kangaroos head to Queensland after an upset win over Richmond which gave interim boss Rhyce Shaw a winning start to his AFL coaching career.

North have made one change to the side that beat the Tigers, with Sam Durdin replacing injured Jamie Macmillan (calf).

Saturday's match will also be a memorable one for North midfielder Jack Ziebell as he aims to get a win in his 200th AFL appearance following defeats in his 50th, 100th and 150th matches.

Miller said the next two matches against the Kangaroos and St Kilda in Townsville were a good chance for the Suns to return to winning ways before the bye.

"You can only lose so much and stay up," Miller said.

"A couple of wins would be really nice going into the bye for us just for morale and making sure the team vibe can stay up and really hit the back end of the season really strong."
