The army is investigating "possible breaches" of its policies after reports Brisbane soldiers have been caught posting offensive material online.
The Sunday Mail says personnel based at Brisbane's Enoggera Barracks have posted offensive images and comments on social media, including memes referencing sexual assault.
In one post a self-described “racist” calls someone a “smelly filthy packie c***”, before stating "why don’t you f*** off back to your country on the door you came floating on”.
Another states: “I go to the gym a lot, it makes getting girls a lot easier. The last one I raped didn’t stand a chance,”
"The Army is inquiring into possible breaches of Defence policy in relation to a number of social media posts, some of which date to 2013 and 2014," a Defence spokesperson told AAP.
