Qantas's Frequent Flyer website is back online after dropping out for about four hours.

"It was due to errors detected as a result of a system upgrade," a Qantas spokeswoman said.

The crash left 11.4 million members of the loyalty program unable to make bookings with points or use their points online.

The website went down at about 0930 AEST, and services for all users were restored by 1330 AEST, the spokeswoman said.
