Lambie lashes out against Medicare cuts

Independent senator Jacqui Lambie says she'll do everything in her power to stop the government's Medicare cuts, including voting against all bills.

Independent senator Jacqui Lambie has threatened to vote against all government legislation in an attempt to stop cuts to Medicare.

Pathologists have warned pap smears will cost $30 if federal government plans to scrap bulk-billing incentives for pathology services in July go ahead.

"I will vote to block all their legislation in the Senate until they stop playing with our Medicare system," Senator Lambie said on Friday.
