Captain Trent Cotchin will be among a batch of Richmond players to return from injury after the AFL club's midseason bye.
Tigers coach Damien Hardwick expects Cotchin, Shane Edwards and David Astbury - who are all suffering hamstring problems - to be available after next weekend's bye.
Jayden Short is also a chance to return from an elbow injury while Kane Lambert could make a comeback from an Achilles ailment as the Tigers' injury crisis eases slightly.
"It (the bye) is certainly good for most sides this time of year, it is a grind and we know how long the season is," Hardwick said after Richmond's 33-point loss to Adelaide on Thursday night.
"And it certainly helps us get some recovery into those players as well."
Hardwick said key forward Jack Riewoldt (knee) and ruckman Toby Nankervis (groin) were unlikely to return immediately after the bye, which Richmond enter with seven wins and six losses.
"Our best footy is still certainly in front of us, we acknowledge that," Hardwick said.
"But we are also really pleased with some of the players we have found to this point of the year ... there have been lot of positives.
"We do sit seven-and-six so we're certainly in the hunt.
"We have hung tough really. But we know we have got a bit of work to do to solidify where we are (on the ladder)."
