Meet the man behind the 5:2 diet: Michael Mosley

Where do you take a diet guru for an interview? A wine and cheese joint, of course!

Surprisingly, healthcare professional and author Dr Michael Mosley was okay with it - even singing the dietary praises of cheese.

Mosley has become a big name in recent years, best known for the 5:2 diet that was responsible for making a handful of people in your office crabby two days a week.

And now he's back with a new diet aimed at helping those with diabetes.

The British scientist and BBC journalist is trying to tackle a problem that impacts 1.7 million Australians: type 2 diabetes.

Marc and Michael would like to thank The Stinking Bishops in Newtown for their hospitality.
