Investigation launched over asylum seeker boat text messages

The federal government says its "disgraceful" Scott Morrison publicised the interception of an asylum seeker boat on election day, calling the move an "abuse of process". A report revealing the decision to release the sensitive details was a direct request from Morrison's office. The Deputy Leader Richard Marles accusing the former government of undermining border security and risking lives as it orders an investigation into the saga.
