A new report by the Australia Institute has revealed the popularity of fuel-guzzling SUVs in Australia is turbocharging emissions - while other nations are reducing them. Australians are reportedly spending an extra 13 billion dollars a year to fuel - what the report is calling - big dumb cars. Experts are calling for urgent action - warning the trend could make it difficult for the Albanese government to meet its emissions reduction target.
