The exciting stage race will return to the UCI calendar for the first time since 2022, where riders will contest three stages and a prologue over four days.
Financial problems forced La Provence Group to regroup over the past year, with foundations now in place to provide the peloton a challenging and competitive test early in their respective seasons.
Having the backdrop of the Provence region – France’s south-eastern section, teeming with diverse landscapes – only adds to the excitement, with riders set to start their journey in Marseille and finish in the city of Arles.
Marseille will host the prologue; an out-and-back, five-kilometre route, before riders depart Aix-en-Provence for the opening stage’s 158-kilometre trek the following day.
From there, the apparent queen stage to Manosque awaits on day three, complete with rolling roads and a 6.6-kilometre climb at 4.8% just 26 kilometres from a hilltop finish.
It all serves to set up the final 183 kilometres from Rognac to Arles, where a relatively pan-flat day favours the sprinters but could throw up some surprises if the wind has its way on the open, coastal roads.
