Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport have run a front page headline that reads 'Inter, Napoli and Roma: United front - Icardi anti-Juve alliance'.
Inter have pursued Roma striker Edin Dzeko all off-season while Roma want to sign Napoli front man Arkadiusz Milik, but both deals depend on Napoli getting a new forward which they want to be Mauro Icardi.
All three clubs see themselves strengthening in attack and are keen to deny Juventus another star player, but Icardi to Napoli would have to be the first domino to fall.
Inter would reportedly go so far as to insert a clause ensuring their former captain cannot be sold on to Juve later.
Argentine Icardi though, currently frozen out at Inter, reportedly only wants a move to Juventus and is willing to wait for it.
On Thursday, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici would not comment on the club's rumoured interest in Icardi, saying: "Icardi is an Inter player, so we will only talk about those in our squad."
