Almost 1000km of competitive rally raid awaited the Australians of the 2025 Dakar in the 48 H Chrono. Daniel Sanders continued his dominant form leading the stage and outright, whilst it was a positive day for Toby Hederics and Andrew Houlihan. Toby Price recovered from his electrical dramas on Stage 1 to perform strongly on the opening day of the Chrono, but it was a day of dramas in Classic Dakar for the Schey Brothers.
