There's still over a month to go until the ABS publishes the result of the Marriage Law Postal Survey—and the inescapable debate is taking its toll on the LGBTQIA+ community in Australia.

Initiatives such as the Queer Love Project are helping to flood the internet with expressions of LGBTQIA+ love, in the form of pictures, videos and words to lift up people who might be struggling through this period.

“We know that seeing positive and reaffirming stories about our lives and communities is something that can help counteract social isolation and contribute to better mental health and wellbeing," says Jain Moralee, Twenty10’s co-executive director.

And if you log on to Instagram, you can find some pretty reaffirming stories, shared in the form of digital illustrations and public murals.
